NACD Participates in "Trade Talk" at Farm Broadcasters’ Convention

Last week, the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) held its annual “Trade Talk” show as part of the NAFB National Convention in Kansas City, MO.

NACD President Earl Garber, Second Vice President Brent VanDyke and Communications Director Bethany Shively attended the event, where they were interviewed by broadcasters from across the country, highlighted the work of districts and conservation policy priorities at an NACD booth, and networked with representatives from key organizations, associations, and federal agencies representing farm, conservation and environment stakeholders.
 
More than 100 broadcasters circulated among participants during the six-hour show. During their interviews, the NACD representatives highlighted the role of conservation districts in the locally-led conservation delivery system, Farm Bill and other policy priorities, as well as upcoming NACD events including the soil health conservation tour and summer board meeting July 18-22 in Indianapolis. During the show, they also handed out NACD publications and other educational and promotional information.
 
NACD looks forward to welcoming incoming NAFB President Janet Adkison (RFD-TV) as a presenter at the 2014 NACD Annual Meeting in Anaheim, Calif.
