The South Carolina Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD) met in Columbia, South Carolina on February 24 and 25. NACD's interim CEO Jeremy Peters participated in the meeting and spoke on a panel about regulatory pressure on private lands and the importance of voluntary, incentive based conservation solutions.
Peters also addressed districts and their legislators at the SCACD legislative banquet. He emphasized the grassroots credibility that districts have when working with legislators whether at the state or federal level.
