More than 250 southeastern conservation leaders from nine states met in Savannah, Ga. to share ideas and discuss solutions to common problems of preventing soil erosion, protecting water resources and restoring wildlife habitat in their states.

At the conference, hosted by the Georgia Association of Conservation District Supervisors, Georgia Congressman Jack Kingston shared his thoughts about conservation, the farm bill, and immigration issues.

Speakers from Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina highlighted examples of innovative conservation practices in their respective states.
